Realistic Fitness Goals – Suggested by Expert Trainers

If you are looking for a workout routine that is consistent and helps you to improve your endurance or build your muscle, then read this blog till the end. Here we are providing a list of fitness goals for everyone, whatever their fitness level is.

Most of the time, people set unrealistic goals that they leave when they are discouraged or fail to hold them accountable through progress. Therefore, the key to setting up for the success of fitness goals can be devised with some smart methods in mind. These tried-and-true approaches to create goals are:

  1. Specific – The goal should be clear and defined. For example, you should work out three times a week rather than doing more exercise
  2. Measurable – There is a way to track the progress that could be logged with the weights you lift or the distance you run.
  3. Attainable – You should reach your goal within the time frame. Some people get trained for the marathon in about two weeks, but some could complete it in a couple of months.
  4. Relevant – There is always a “why” that drives your motivation to reach the set goal. It helps you to feel stronger, flexible, or manage underlying conditions.
  5. Timely: Goals always have a deadline whether it’s a matter of weeks.

After these, we also recommend you to add an “E” that is for emotions. It is all about the feeling that is important to have to achieve the goal. Emotions make it more real.

If you have a specific goal in your mind, that is great. If there is not, here we are giving you the list of fitness goals suggested by certified and expert trainers:

1. 12 days of workout in one month.

2. Run 1 mile in 6 weeks

3. Try a new workout until you find the one you like

4. Walk for 10,000 steps in a day for a month

5. Do push-ups in 4-6 weeks.

6. Rest for at least eight days a month

7. 15 minutes stretching after each set of the workout

8. 1-minute plank holding in 30 days

9. Drink water 2-3 liters daily

10. Complete race of 5K in 3 months

Be Kind to Yourself – Most Important of All

If you are struggling to meet your fitness goal, then instead of beating yourself up, just give thanks to your body for which it helped you accomplish. Then, try to reassess if your current goals are realistic and if they need to be adjusted.

“Give yourself a policy of the ‘clean slate. Forgive yourself for what you have done wrong in the past, and look forward to a new opportunity that can help you to get back on track.

It is a good time to remember that it is “why” that motivates you to tackle the goal in the first place.
